Course Overview

Hazardous materials can be found in thousands of workplaces. Because they are as dangerous as they are common, OSHA has mandated that anyone working with these substances receive comprehensive HAZMAT training.

As defined in OSHA's Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) regulations, the amount and type of HAZMAT training that employees receive varies with their degree of involvement with hazardous materials.

The series includes:

  • "Introduction to HAZWOPER Retraining”
  • "HAZWOPER: Understanding Chemical Hazards”
  • "HAZWOPER: Personal Protective Equipment and Decontamination Procedures”
  • "HAZWOPER: Exposure Monitoring and Medical Surveillance”
